Responsibilities
- Obtain bio information for upcoming speaker from Program Chairman.
- Write press release and send to media list along with attached photo of speaker approximately two weeks prior to reservation deadline for the upcoming meeting.
- Use press release info to prepare evite on MailChimp.
- Schedule to be sent to WBODC list (currently about 285 email addresses) three times prior to meeting date.
- The first time to be sent approximately two weeks prior to meeting
- Second time approximately 6-7 days later
- Third time day before reservation deadline.
- Design 2 col. x 2″ ad on upcoming meeting to be placed in Denton Record-Chronicle on Tuesday prior to the Thursday deadline. Must be submitted by Friday prior to the Tuesday publication date. Current contact at DRC: Ché Macy, (940) 566-6849, cmacy@DentonRC.com
- Prepare press release, as needed, for special events.
- Take photos at meetings and events, when appropriate, to be sent to Denton Business & Community News (lee.lemons@earthlink.net) and to Karina Ramirez (kramirez@dentonrc.com)for Denton Business Chronicle. (If Publicity Chairman is not proficient in photography, recruit a member to handle this task, when needed.)
- Create Facebook Event for the Meeting Event
