Today more than ever the business environment, education, and society are faced with a diversified population made up of individuals of different ages, different values, and different perspectives on life, work, and culture.
Dr. Wallace offers insights into how to effectively motivate and manage this gap to the advantage of your organization.
Upon completion of his undergraduate degree at Hardin Simmons University, where he received received multiple business scholarships and graduated with a Bachelors in Business Administration Degree in Marketing, Dr. Brent Wallace began a successful career in business.
Dr. Wallace then attended Abilene Christian University where he completed a Master of Arts in Human Communication and graduate certifications in conflict resolution and specifically family mediation. During this time Dr. Wallace accepted a position as the Assistant to the Dean of the Patty Hanks Shelton School of Nursing, a consortium of Abilene Christian University, Hardin Simmons University and McMurry University. After a year, he was promoted to the Director of Student Services, serving all three universities nursing students and managing four offices while pursuing a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration from Texas Tech University, which he completed in 2010.
In August 2011, Dr. Brent Wallace arrived at NCTC as Vice President of Instruction and Chief Academic Officer bringing with him a research background in conflict and strategic planning for higher education. He has been a presenter at state and national higher education conferences and is a member of multiple state higher education groups including the Texas Community College Instructional Administrators, the Texas Community College Teacher Association, and the Texas Community College Instructor Leaders to name a few.
