March Luncheon, Tuesday March 6  – Helping Your Business Grow Through Good Credit by Jacklyn Shapiro

Credit is a great and wonderful word when it’s good. But when it’s bad, it’s a word that can drive fear and frustration into every aspect of our lives.

It is absolutely one of the most misunderstood things we deal with as adults, because we are never taught how our credit actually works. Not at home and not in our schools. You can’t even take a college course on credit, so it is no surprise that we have all felt the frustration that bad credit and inaccuracies in our credit reports can cause.

For most of us, our parents told us, “pay your bills on time so you will have good credit.” Unfortunately, having good credit means more than simply paying your bills on time it means saving hundreds if not thousands of dollars every year.

In “Helping Your Business Grow Through Good Credit” members will learn:

  • Why good credit is so important when you own your own business.
  • Your credit score is more than just a number, what does it actually represent?
  • How is your credit score calculated?
  • What you need to know about collections: How they affect you and how the industry actually works.
  • How credit cards balances affect your credit score.
  • Things to do 30 days prior to being a personal guarantor.
